COVID-19 has presented many firsts for the work environment. One of those has been The Great Resignation. Now more than ever, the research results of early Behavioralists (Hugo Munsterburg, Mary Parker Follet, and Elton Mayo), along with the findings of Human Relations researchers (Abraham Maslow and Douglas McGregor) are integral to successfully managing this phenomenon. Current studies have shown that feeling engaged at work, being recognized and appreciated, having a good relationship with management and feeling a sense of community are the key aspects to retention. You need to identify and successfully the variety of strategies to make this happen in your work environment.

Our presenter has been coaching employers through this challenge and will share insights on the impact, strategies, and recommendations for moving forward. He will discuss the impact this situation has had on compensation, ghosting, the work environment, and sustainability among other key aspects.

OUTCOMES

Participants will gain

  • A greater ability in recognizing the import of creating a sense of community
  • Insight in strategies to create an environment of retention
  • Heightened understanding that going back to the pre-COVID work environment is not necessarily feasible and the implications that has on organizational infrastructure
  • Enhanced understanding of relationship management and effective communication
