We are pleased to announce our February program will be The State of DEI. This webinar will feature four subject matter experts who have practical on hands experience with this evolving topic. This program will be a virtual and aligns with our program year theme: Creating Connections – Building Bridges … Together
Please note, registration will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, February 18.
DESCRIPTION
Businesses and organizations are navigating uncharted waters. The Pew Research Center states, “ The status of DEI in the workplace is currently evolving due to legal and compliance concerns. While many organizations are scaling back DEI programs, the EEOC and DOJ have issued guidance addressing unlawful discrimination related to DEI, which may influence future practices. Employers are encouraged to ensure their DEI initiatives are inclusive and accessible to all employees, regardless of their protected characteristics.
This program will explore how organizations have pivoted and yet still remained true to providing equal opportunity for all. Two of our panelists have been long time advocates and consultants in the area of DEI. They will share changes and adjustments that have come about as a result of the external factors influencing organizations.
Our other two panelists, one employed by a government contractor, are practicing senior HR professionals who have been involved with adjusting and adapting policies and procedures to comply with the new regulations. With all the buzz and concern surrounding the changes in governmental policies, their discussion will focus on how to comply and still support the fundamentals of DEI.
OUTCOMES
This program will provide HR professionals with a better understanding regarding:
- The import of adapting, adjusting and pivoting to external factors impacting DEI initiatives
- How an organization is able to comply with the changed regulations and still remain committed to their corporate values supporting Diversity.
- The importance and value of a diverse workplace
